This is simply a cookbook comprised of dishes that I loved growing up, Living Laos, in the South accompanied by a few stories of my childhood. Just like my food, I do not feel that life is about sticking to the traditions or normality presented, nor is it about blending things into one. I believe that we should each experience life and food on our own how we want to. Then, we can use what we learn from our experiences to provide ourselves with a recipe with a sense of individuality and cultural diversity. All proceeds from this excerpt will go not only towards aiding in funding my education abroad, but also to the completion of a further expanded hardback cookbook. This book will be featuring over 15 more recipes including dishes such as: Pad Lao, fried chicken, baked mac and cheese, Laos style ribs, Khang Kem, Mee Kah Tee, herb mashed potatoes, lotus root water, and even egg nog. During this process please feel free to email or reach out to me with suggestions or requests of dishes you would like to see the recipes of.
